Rhetorical Theory

This scenario is part of a project intended to deepen students’ interactions with basic concepts in the field of communication when they are studying in an asynchronous mode online. The scenario consists of several parts. The first is an encounter with a chatbot, where the student can ask for definitions, examples, illustrations, comparisons and contrasts for key terms and concepts. The second part of the scenario gives students access to debates in video format based on different theories about how communication works. The third part of the scenario provides resources for the student to use when completing an assignment. This section of the scenario includes an activity in which the intelligent agent asks the student questions, the answers to which form the outline of an essay or project. The outline is then submitted online to the instructor for comment before the student proceeds with the rest of the assignment. We hope you enjoy the website.
